One lcd had a black horizontal line, but unit was shipped with spare lcd panel, so all good. I'm assuming this is a common issue/fault looking at other feedback. Thankfully they are prepared with this with a spare lcd - but it would be nice if the store sold others individually if there was more than one faulty. Wifi is not needed - this can be setup manually with no internet/computer/app which is fantastic! Otherwise if you want internet - you only need a web browser - which is far better than needing a phone app! Unfortunately i was not able to get onto seller post purchase for support when i found no manual and needed password, hence the 2 star for store service - which is a pity because apart from that - i'm really impressed with this unit. I wanted to buy a bunch of these for christmas presents and this was a test to see what they're like but lack of after sales communication has left me with doubts. For anyone else who doesn't get a manual, the password for ap is 123456789.

It does not feel premium but it is very good if you are looking for a more affordable item instead of the original, you have an extra spare part + it connects to c-type, has alarm and wifi.

Very nice and easy to assemble. The firmware that came on it had several bugs and limitations that were annoying, but there were 2 updates within a week that cleared them up. If you are having issues, definitely check for updates

The clock works great but the only problem is you cannot change the timezone. And the weather function does not work. Customer service unable to help with the problem.
